NanoExcitonic Device Technology
Light has played a critical role throughout history as a medium for conveying information. In particular, producing light and controlling it has been a central interest in modern information technology. An exciton, a bound state of an electron and a hole, can be formed in semiconductors and leads to efficient light emission or absorption. Thus, properly understanding and controlling excitons is a crucial aspect of creating high-performance optoelectronic devices.

In our lab, we utilize the cutting-edge nanotechnology to fabricate high-performance nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices that open the door to the NEXT generation of information technology, which will revolutionize our lives in the near future. Our projects span a broad range from fundamental physics to applied science of nanoelectronics and excitonic devices. We use light as a mean to understand the physics of different materials, enabling us to design novel devices with high performance and advanced optical properties.
